How to replace flint in Zippo?
First of all, let’s get to know the structure of flint. They include flint, thimble, spring, and screw.

Pull out the inner unit (insert) from the case and unscrew the screw
To replace the flint for zippo, the inner unit needs to be removed, which is different from ordinary inflatable lighters. Pull out the lighter liner and turn the liner upside down, align the bottom screw by using a screwdriver or other tools, and unscrew the back cover screw.

Clean out the remaining flint
When the screw is unscrewed, the screw will automatically pop out due to the elastic force of the internal spring. Remove the screw and pour out the remaining flint inside the lighter. Then put the new flint into the flint pipe.

Tighten the screws
When the new flint enters the flint pipe, insert the pin into the aligning pipe. You can also move the spring thimble left and right in order to make the flint and the steamer fit better. Finally put the inner tank into the zippo lighter shell, and you’re done here!

Note
The flint of the zippo lighter may use a special flint due to the fire efficiency of ordinary flint and special flint for Zhibao are different.
